After searching high and low for a way to change cities on Groupon, we finally discovered you have to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the new city -- it's as simple (and awkward) as that.
We actually called their 877 number to confirm, and spoke with a friendly CSR by the name of Rebecca there.
It's strange because even after doing a Google search of "how to I change my city on Groupon?" -- we had found nothing!
Not sure if this wasn't possible before but if you select "unsubscribe" from the emails you receive, this leads you to a page where you can manage your subscription, including removing a city, without having to close the account (which you don't want to do if you have unused Groupons!)
I actually tried changing my city on my account and am still getting emails/deals only from my previous city. This was after several attempts at updating my city. I'll try unsubscribing.
scroll all the way down and choose browse city, choose your city and it will become your default city, worked for me. btw how do you unsubscribe groupon as a whole not just the emails?
I went to Ireland over the holidays and Groupon automatically changed to Ireland. I'm back in the US and it won't change back. How can I change it back?
Go to the side area that has my Groupons and stuff. Scroll down to customer support. Scroll down again there will be a managing your account account button. From there go to edit my profile. There will be a change location spot. Hope that helps!

ReplyDeleteI remedied this by turning off groupons use of location settings. I selected a city manually, I then turned the location settings back on.
